A case Report of Dysmyeloproliferative Syndrome

Abstract
|
|
|
Dysmyeloproliferative syndrome (DMPS) is an unusual form of hematopietic disorders, characterized by acellular marrow with disturbed maturation and often with increased blasts and reduction of one or more blood element, usually pancytopenia. The latter group more develops acute leukemia : This is the preluekemia group. 1,2)
The FAB cooperative group" classified these into two broad groups : These are distinguished mainly by a predominance of cell components.
A 73-year-old man was admitted our hospital with exertional dyspnea, dizziness for 3 months, which is characterized by refractory anemia, a few of the mononuclear cells was atypical nuclear blebs and thromocytopenia on P. B. smear, hypercellularity (95%) with aproximately 3.5%, abnormal immature myeloid cells in B. M. study(Fig. 1-6, Table 1-3), oxymetholone 100mg/day.
A review of the literature is presented with a brief discussion of this case.
